UNDER ONE SKY
'It's not very often you get the chance to pick your favourite band.'
    John McCusker
Commissioned by Cambridge Folk Festival and Celtic Connections in 2007, Scottish fiddler and producer John McCusker was asked to bring together a band of 12 English and Scottish musicians and create a piece of music celebrating the two festivals.
The piece, 'Under One Sky', was originally only performed twice that summer. However, keen to give the collaboration an extended life, McCusker gathered the musicians again, recorded an album and took the 12 piece band on a two week tour as part of the Tune Up touring scheme.
This documentary short follows the musicians on the Scottish dates of the 2008 tour. The film was commissioned and funded by the Scottish Arts Council via Tune Up.
